CORONA VIRUS: Due to the lockdown announced by the PM on March 23rd, Seven Seas Motors are able to deal with enquiries and process sales (take deposits, customer details etc.) At this stage it is unclear whether we are able to send staff in to prepare the vehicles for collection or to get vehicles MOT’d. As such, we are not certain we will be able to complete sales, that is to say deliver vehicles or arrange for collection for the foreseeable future except possibly in exceptional circumstances. The exceptional circumstances may be instances where a customer is a “essential worker” (eg. healthcare professional) or carer and requires the vehicle in order to attend their duties. These will be addressed on a case by case basis.
The situation is very fluid right now so please don’t hesitate to get in touch with any queries. You can reach us on 01924-911222, where someone working from home will do their best to answer any questions you may have.
We meet a lot of Super Cub aficionados. Some like the C50 because of what it represents and for its iconic shape. Others prefer the C90 – like the 50 but with a little more oomph beneath the legshields. Others prefer offshoots like the Little Cub or the CT110, either for their quirkiness or their ruggedness. It’s only the fans of the C70 who focus on the overall engineering of the machine.
Just the other day we had a young man in the shop – mid-fifties, that’s young for us – who had rebuilt and tinkered with numerous Cubs over the years. He was telling me how much he rates the 70 over the 50 and the 90, and he’s not the first one. It’s very hard to improve on the sheer ruggedness of any Super Cub but the C70 fans reckon this is the best of the lot.
What we have here is a 1995 model in forest green, There is some rubbing on the right side cover and engine cover, a little rust on the spokes and some ageing on the backs of the indicators but despite these small imperfections, she is looking rather well for her 24 years. She’s averaged a little under 1,000 miles per year for a total of 22,445 and has still runs really well. She has racks front and rear, rear pegs, segmented seat, helmet lock, bag hook and fuel gauge under the seat.
If you like a Super Cub, the chances are you will appreciate this rarer engine sized model. Call to make an appointment and we’d be happy to show it to you in person.
