Most of the Honda Super Cubs went from 6 volt to 12 volt in 1986 but there is a rare cohort that led the way from 1981. Presumably as a test bed for future developments, Honda made a limited run of 12V C70’s starting in 1981. This is one of them. Being the first generation Custom, although it has the square headlight and 12 volt electrics, it doesn’t have the electric start – just kick start, like traditional Super Cubs.
This C70 Custom (the Japanese name for square headlight Cubs) comes in light metallic blue with front and rear racks, decals in silver and red, rear pegs and Honda badge on the leg covers. More photos and videos will be taken once it arrives.
This is a rare vintage Cub, being a C70 and an early 12-volt to boot, and is in nice condition.
This bike will be put through the NOVA system as soon as the container docks. We can arrange registration and delivery. Registration is a 3-step process: obtain a dating certificate from a DVLA accredited dating officer; MOT; registration with DVLA. This costs £150.
