CORONA VIRUS: Due to the lockdown announced by the PM on March 23rd, Seven Seas Motors are able to deal with enquiries and process sales (take deposits, customer details etc.) At this stage it is unclear whether we are able to send staff in to prepare the vehicles for collection or to get vehicles MOT’d. As such, we are not certain we will be able to complete sales, that is to say deliver vehicles or arrange for collection for the foreseeable future except possibly in exceptional circumstances. The exceptional circumstances may be instances where a customer is a “essential worker” (eg. healthcare professional) or carer and requires the vehicle in order to attend their duties. These will be addressed on a case by case basis.

The situation is very fluid right now so please don’t hesitate to get in touch with any queries. You can reach us on 01924-911222, where someone working from home will do their best to answer any questions you may have.

In the early 1960’s most road bikes were push rods, OHC’s being mainly the domain of racing bikes. In 1960 Honda built a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Suzuka, giving them the facilities and staff to design and develop new models quickly. The 90cc engines in Particular were extremely popular.

The first version of this 90cc single was the S90. This was replaced in 1967 by the CL with the over muffler. Due to rapid technological developments, not many were made so this first year model is extremely rare. It has a 2-valve OHC air-cooled single cylinder engine, a Keihin III 20mm carb and 6-volt points ignition. The frame is pressed steel and it has telescopic front forks, drum brakes, twin shocks and 18 inch wheels.

Ours is in original condition. The engine runs and the bike rides. Given the fact that it has never been restored and is original, the overall condition is quite good. Please view the walkaround video for a close up inspection of the cosmetic condition. As well as the visible ageing and age-related marks there is a small dent on the top of the tank. Inside the tank is rusty but not excessively so. The frame is good, as is the exhaust and muffler.

This is a highly collectable bike. It would require time but not a huge amount of money to return it to excellent condition. We welcome viewings.
