“In affluent America, the heartland of disposable income and home of the term “Mad Money,” every motorcyclist should have a Honda XL200R nestled in his garage.” www.motorcyclespecs.co.za Now there’s a statement. Before we get onto the bike itself, though, let’s discuss Japanese weather.

Japan is a long country and as such has a wide range of climate from tropical down in Okinawa to Baltic up in Hokkaido. One thing you can’t say about it, though, is that the weather is mild. So how come we are able to find bikes like this – a 36-year-old endure that hardly looks like it’s every seen any daylight?

It may be that because the weather is so severe, that when it’s bad, it’s so bad that a lot of bikers just don’t go out. (I’ve tried riding in typhoons and it is neither fun nor easy.)

Regardless of the how, we are just delighted to be able to bring you this absolute cracker. The XL200, successor to the XL185, is one of a long line of 4-stroke enduros which have proved themselves time and time again all over the world.

The XL200R is light and flickable and is equally at home on bumpy, windy country lanes or dirt. Renowned for its durability, it (and indeed all the XL’s) have a well earned reputation for being brilliantly thought out and put together.

This particular XL was only made for three years and they are extremely hard to come by in anything like this kind of condition. If you buy this bike you can have many  hundreds of hours of riding pleasure, on tarmac and on mud, on something that is only four short years from tax exempt status.

This bike has been through the NOVA system. We can arrange registration and delivery. Registration is a 3-step process: obtain a dating certificate from a DVLA accredited dating officer; MOT; registration with DVLA. This costs £150.

Payment can be made through direct debit or debit/credit card. FINANCE AVAILABLE
