CORONA VIRUS: Due to the lockdown announced by the PM on March 23rd, Seven Seas Motors are able to deal with enquiries and process sales (take deposits, customer details etc.) At this stage it is unclear whether we are able to send staff in to prepare the vehicles for collection or to get vehicles MOT’d. As such, we are not certain we will be able to complete sales, that is to say deliver vehicles or arrange for collection for the foreseeable future except possibly in exceptional circumstances. The exceptional circumstances may be instances where a customer is a “essential worker” (eg. healthcare professional) or carer and requires the vehicle in order to attend their duties. These will be addressed on a case by case basis.

The situation is very fluid right now so please don’t hesitate to get in touch with any queries. You can reach us on 01924-911222, where someone working from home will do their best to answer any questions you may have.

The Yamaha TTR250 is one in a long line of superb Japanese enduro bikes and this Raid version is a contender for best looking of the group.
The TTR series has been in production for over 20 years since 1993 but the Raid was relatively short lived. There is a number of differences between the Raid and the OE model – space for a toolkit under the left side cover; different gearing and swingarm; flatter, lower seat; headlight assembly more suitable for road use. In terms of functionality, though, it is the oversized tank that sets this apart. This and the beautiful design make this a real standout and to find one in this condition 21 years later is a rarity indeed.
Ours is the 1996 model in metallic turquoise with white and gold. It has a rear carrier, gold rims and gold muffler and two-tone grey and black seat.
It is twenty one years old and there are a couple of places where there is some sign of ageing, most notable the front exhaust guard, but overall the condition is exceptional. The tank in particular (other than a scratch on the underside) looks almost as if it has just come out of the factory. Frame, exhaust, engine, mudguards are all remarkably nice.
The TTR is renowned for its simplicity of use – the 4-stroke engine gives a very smooth power delivery - low maintenance and reliability. The Raid adds striking good looks to this list of strengths, and now at over twenty years old, this particular bike is one that is moving into classic/collectable territory.
Only 8,390 miles and in really lovely condition – call today to book a viewing.
