Description

CORONA VIRUS: Due to the lockdown announced by the PM on March 23rd, Seven Seas Motors are able to deal with enquiries and process sales (take deposits, customer details etc.) At this stage it is unclear whether we are able to send staff in to prepare the vehicles for collection or to get vehicles MOT’d. As such, we are not certain we will be able to complete sales, that is to say deliver vehicles or arrange for collection for the foreseeable future except possibly in exceptional circumstances. The exceptional circumstances may be instances where a customer is a “essential worker” (eg. healthcare professional) or carer and requires the vehicle in order to attend their duties. These will be addressed on a case by case basis.

The situation is very fluid right now so please don’t hesitate to get in touch with any queries. You can reach us on 01924-911222, where someone working from home will do their best to answer any questions you may have.

Fly away on this Birdie for as little as £42 per month. See below for details.

The Suzuki Birdie first came out as a 2-stroke in 1973. It was an air-cooled single with a Mikuni carb, underbone frame bottom link front suspension and twin shocks in the rear. 17-inch wheels and a 3-speed, semi-automatic engine provided the bike with stability and ease of use.

Later years saw the production of the Birdie 80 and this, the 50cc 4-stroke. Ours is a 1997 model – so already 23 years old – in a lovely pea green. It has racks front and rear, seagull logos on the matching green side panels, new tyres, square headlight and a long fluted muffler.

This bike is not in mint condition but is really very nice. The only slight negatives are a few rust spots on the rear carrier, a very small dent on the right shock, a little rubbing engine cover, a couple of age related marks and the beginnings of pitting on the exhaust – hardly visible but there. I’m being very critical, however. These are all very small things and overall the bike is lovely.

Being a 4-stroke, it is smooth and quiet and really simple to ride. As an alternative to the ubiquitous Cub, this is a wonderful option. Reliable, charming and rare – please get in touch to arrange a viewing.

This bike has been through the NOVA system. We can arrange registration and delivery. Registration is a 3-step process: obtain a dating certificate from a DVLA accredited dating officer; MOT; registration with DVLA. This costs £150.

Payment can be made through direct debit or debit/credit card. FINANCE AVAILABLE.

FINANCE. The finance calculation above is based on an on the road price of £1,500 with a 20% deposit and payment over 48 months. Early repayment is an option. Terms and conditions apply. Please get in touch for more details.
