1999 Honda MD50 postal bike in red.
The MD50 is the original Japanese post office bike. Based on the C50 with a step-thru design and semi automatic gears, it has been modified to make it more robust. Telescopic forks, smaller, thicker wheels, stronger frame, larger rack, reinforced stands. It's a solid piece of kit.
This bike is being sold "as is". It has been run by our colleagues in Japan but not fully tested. We expect the engine to be fine but it may need work on electrics etc. Please ask for details and we will assess it for you..
This bike has been put through the NOVA system. Registration can be arranged for a fee of £165, this includes the Dating Certificate, MOT, Registration, UK log book and age related number plate. This process takes approximately 6 weeks.
We can deliver, please confirm your postcode for a quote. Delivery/Collection can take place either after the MOT (while waiting for the log book) or once the log book has been received. The motorcycle cannot be ridden on the public highway until the bike is registered and fitted with its number plate. Road tax & insurance are your responsibility as the new keeper.
Comes with a 3 month warranty if the bike is under 30 years old at the time of the sale. There are companies who offer warranties for Historic bikes online.
A deposit of 30% will secure the bike, we would not ask for further payment until the bike is ready to hand over. If the customer cancels the sale we will refund 50% of the deposit. Please note that if a customer pays through Paypal, we require the customer to pay the Paypal charges. We accept bank transfer or debit card payments at no extra cost to you.
